Why is Scanner Safety imperative?
Animated, moving laser beams are significantly less dangerous for the environment than fixed, non-moving beams. As each show laser system can have a technical failure or even defect due to different reasons, there is unfortunately the possibility that a fixed and thus dangerous laser beam could come out of a laser show system. This can be prevented only by a good scanner safety. Scanner safety, also called “scanner failure protection”, is an electronic control that supervises the movement of the galvanometer scanner and prevents the output of a fixed laser beam in case of emergency. Scanner safety is only possible with scanner units (Closed Loop Scanner).
